Episode 38: The Loeries Extravaganza
The 31st annual Loeries was held for the first time in Cape Town over the weekend of the 25th to the 27th of September. These advertising "Mad Men" certainly have a reputation for raucous behaviour and this year was no different. With multiple parties throughout the day, the awards ceremony then a party on Long Street till all hours of the morning the Loeries certainly pulled out all the stops to impress and entertain this year.
We spoke to winners TBWA Hunt Lascaris on their campaign for the Zimbabwean as well as Chris Gotz from Ogilvy, Tony Koenderman and Ben Wagner from Stonewall Digital. The show also features an overview of the digital winners and a debate on whether the Loeries really gets digital.

Comments:
I totally agree with you guys in terms of the Loeries being a one-dimensional view of what the Digital channel can offer brands, with the focus obviously being on design/creativity. The SA market is still a long way from maturing, but we'll see a . .more
