Episode 43: Social Media Agencies

02 November 2009

In this week's episode of The Digital Edge we look into the phenomenon of social media agencies to see whether having one on retainer is necessary for your brand. With hushed talks of agencies charging excessive amounts to create a fan page on free services such as Facebook we decided to look into the necessity of having a full on agency or if you could hire a web savvy teenager to do the work at a fraction of the cost.

We speak to Angus Robinson of Brandsh, Louis Janse van Rensburg of World Wide Creative, Gino Cosme of Cosmedia and finally consultant and web strategist Eve Dmochowska to see what is happening with excessive charges as well as whether you really do need an agency.

Our top ten this week is the ten best quotes from T.V. presenter Jeremy Clarkson and our 60-second pitch features Kish Ramdial from immedia to talk about their iPhone app development. As always, Kerry-Anne Gilowey joins us for the countries best audio news.
