Episode 53: Geek Retreat 2.0
This week we take a look at the second Geek Retreat that took place over the weekend of the 15th to the 17th of January in scenic Stanford Valley in the Western Cape. The first Retreat yielded a fair amount of controversy for being exclusively "A-lister" as well as an excuse to network rather than completing the mandate of "making South Africa better through the Internet".
We sent intrepid reporter Jarred Cinman with recording equipment and a fair sense of cynicism to Stanford. What returned was someone almost akin to a religious convert. Jarred, the usually cynical member of Th Digital Edge came back in love with the location, people and concept of The Geek Retreat.
Follow Jarred as he explains his new found fascination with the Geek Retreat as he brings you coverage of the event.
