Episode 55: Online Brand Monitoring
This week's Digital Edge takes a look at the topic of online brand monitoring. As more and more people are able to influence their friends and peers over social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, finding out what people are saying about your brand becomes more and more critical.
Of course you can setup a Google alert to check certain keywords but this is not instant, nor does it offer any sort of look into the influence and reach of these comments online. It's also important to remember that these tools are useful not only in a crisis but to value positive mentions as well as to help see what aspects of an online campaign might be successful or not.
This week we speak to Ingrid Rubin from Virtuosa to speak about Saidwot, Tim Shier from Quirk to talk on Brandseye and finally Gordon Geldenhuys from Acceleration Media to talk about Radian6.
We also speak to Vanessa to hear about Breadline Africa's latest competition to raise funds as well as Kerry-Anne Gilowey to discuss the news of the week.
